Create a debt for a contact
POST/v1/contacts/:contact_id/debts
Creates a debt and links the contact from the path as its primary_borrower. Extra co-borrowers, guarantors, and authorized contacts can be linked in the same call through parties[]. debt_external_id is unique per account, so re-sending one fails with 400 rather than creating a second row — patch the existing debt instead. Error bodies carry the route's own code (create-contact-debt here), not a specific one per failure.
Permissions - contacts.read + contacts.write (the checks run both; a write grant without the read grant is denied). API keys - manage.
